This story was one of my favorites to work on. It was my first time going through the complete freelance feature-writing process and conceptualizing a story, pitching the story and then having it accepted. It ended up being the cover story with a 10-page spread.

Cail Soria is a climber, photographer and, as of March, 2022, an amputee. Soria gets real about what it was like slowing down and how her recovery influenced  the way she views rest.
